Student Residency Program
For nursing students ready to enhance their clinical competence and prepare for the challenging role ahead, UMMC's Student Residency Program offers the in-depth training that can put your career on the fast track. This is a ten week summer program that typically runs from the end of May through the beginning of August.
- Increase your critical thinking skills
- Gain knowledge and confidence through clinical collaboration
- Acquire the kind of hands-on experience that will expand your skills
- Benefit from a clearer view of your role's impact on our community—and on the future of care
To be considered, all students must be a BSN candidate with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and graduating in December of the application year or the following May. You must have completed the Basic Fundamentals and Health Assessment courses as well as Adult Health and hold CNA licensure or waiver for the state of Maryland. You must be available to work 36 hours per week during the summer months. To see if you qualify and to apply, call 410-328-6257 or e-mail Cyndy Ronald at cronald@umm.edu.
